The method comprises the following steps: detecting the hydrogen concentration of a hydrogen filling port after the vehicle succeeds in hydrogenation every time, judging the fault of the hydrogen filling port according to the time required for reducing the concentration value to 0 when the concentration value is greater than a set threshold value, and if the time is less than the set value, determining that the fault of the hydrogen filling port occurs. Therefore, the fault condition of the hydrogen filling port of the vehicle can be detected, the hydrogen leakage fault reporting accuracy of the vehicle is improved, the service life of the hydrogen filling port is prolonged, whether the hydrogen filling port fails or not does not need to be manually detected, and the detection cost is reduced.
