The invention discloses a charging pile insulation detection system and method, and the method comprises the steps: a mimicry electric field control module generates a mimicry electric field, a mimicry current detection module detects and obtains a mimicry output current, and an environment detection module detects and obtains an environment interference variable; the analysis module performs analysis to obtain a mimicry time sequence and a current spectrum; the real-time processing unit obtains a difference value time sequence and a difference value frequency spectrum according to each mimicry time sequence and current frequency spectrum processing, and analyzes the difference value frequency spectrum to obtain a plurality of frequency spectrum abrupt change points; the deviation calculation unit calculates a time sequence deviation value and a frequency spectrum deviation value; the loss processing unit inputs each time sequence deviation value and each frequency spectrum deviation value into a loss detection model to obtain a loss score; the loss calculation unit calculates an element total loss value; the comprehensive processing unit performs processing to obtain a detection early warning value; the alarm unit generates an early warning maintenance instruction; and the alarm module performs alarm reminding on the unique number of the circuit element according to the early warning maintenance instruction. The use safety of the charging pile is improved.
