The invention discloses a train block system and method, and the system comprises a terminal and indication equipment which are disposed in a station between two adjacent track sections, a first sensor at the initial position of each track section, and a second sensor at the tail end position of each track section. And each terminal is connected with the indicating equipment in the station, the second sensor on the track section in the station entering direction, the first sensor on the track section in the station exiting direction and the terminals in the two adjacent stations, and when it is determined that the connected second sensor detects that the train passes, the connected indicating equipment is controlled to indicate that the train is forbidden to pass. When no train is determined to enter the section where the train is about to enter, the terminal of the next adjacent station is requested to enter the train, when a train entering allowing signal is received, the connected indicating equipment is controlled to indicate that the train allows passing, and if not, the indicating equipment is controlled to indicate that the train is forbidden to pass, so that the train blocking implementation cost is reduced on the basis of train blocking implementation, and the train blocking implementation efficiency is improved. The whole train block system is simple and low in cost, and economic benefits are improved.
