The invention relates to an angle limiting system using a cloud service, and the system comprises a cloud service node which is disposed at a network end of an automobile, and is used for storing imaging patterns corresponding to the parts, exposed above an instrument panel of the automobile, of various types of steering wheels; the turning detection mechanism is used for sending a turning identification signal when the received current turning angle exceeds a first angle threshold value; the state extraction equipment is used for sending out a straight-going vehicle too close signal when the received field depth value to be identified is shallower than a preset field depth limit; and the angle locking mechanism is used for prohibiting the current turning angle of the steering wheel from exceeding a second angle threshold value to prohibit the automobile from turning around when the signal that the straight automobile is too close is received. The invention further relates to an angle limiting method using the cloud service. According to the invention, a driver can be helped to judge whether the current state allows turning or even turning around without an accident of being collided by a straight-going vehicle, so that the intelligent monitoring level of the automobile is improved.
