The invention provides a folding mechanism which comprises an upper platform and a lower platform, the upper platform is connected with at least two first straight plates in a hinged mode, the upper platform is connected with at least two first side plates in a hinged mode, the first straight plates and the first side plates are sequentially and adjacently arranged, and first angle plates are connected between the first straight plates and the first side plates in a hinged mode; the lower platform is respectively hinged with at least two second straight plates and at least two second side plates, the second straight plates and the second side plates are sequentially and adjacently arranged, and second angle plates are hinged between the second straight plates and the second side plates; and the free end of the first straight plate is hinged to the free end of the second straight plate. The structure has one degree of freedom, the stability is good, a self-locking mechanism is not needed, the structure is simple and compact, the folding size is small, the weight is light, and the application range is wide.
