The invention relates to the technical field of braking systems, in particular to a gear and ball screw combined transmission mechanism applied to a brake. The device is characterized in that a driving shaft of a motor is coupled with a first gear, the first gear is in meshed connection with a second gear, the second gear is coupled with a first gear shaft, the first gear shaft is in meshed connection with a third gear, the third gear is coupled with a second gear shaft, the second gear shaft is in meshed connection with a fourth gear, the fourth gear is coupled with one end of a ball screw, and the other end of the ball screw is connected with a piston return mechanism; a pressure sensor is arranged on the ball screw between the fourth gear and the piston return mechanism; one end of a pawl is arranged on the outer edge of the ratchet wheel, and the other end of the pawl is connected with an electromagnetic mechanism. Compared with the prior art, when a vehicle is turned from parking to running, the electromagnetic mechanism pushes away the pawl, the motor rotates reversely, the gear and the ball screw drive the lead screw nut to drive the piston to return, the calipers and the brake disc are separated, and the conversion of the calipers from parking to running is achieved.
