The invention relates to a method for orienting a power receiving coil of a vehicle relative to a power transmitting coil of a wireless charging system of the vehicle. The method comprises:-detecting a location of the vehicle at a charging position in which the power receiving coil detects reception of electromagnetic radiation emitted from the power transmitting coil; -performing a calibration order in which the orientation of the power receiving coil and/or the power transmitting coil is changed according to a predetermined scheme while recording the electromagnetic radiation reception of the power receiving coil; -in response to the calibration order, determining a desired relative orientation between the power receiving coil and the power transmitting coil, comprising a relative angle, in which desired relative orientation the electromagnetic radiation reception of the power receiving coil is within an upper limit of the recorded electromagnetic radiation reception.
