The invention provides a driving system of a multi-car intelligent parallel elevator, the elevator comprises a plurality of cars, at least two rails and a plurality of switching rails, the switching rails are used for connecting two different rails, each switching rail comprises at least one section of arc-shaped rail, the cars are mounted on a suspension device, and the suspension device is connected with the rails. The suspension device drives the lift car to operate, the lift car continues to ascend or descend after track switching is conducted through the switching track in the ascending or descending process of the track, the driving system comprises a driving device and at least one set of connecting devices, and the driving device is movably connected with the suspension device through the connecting devices so that the driving device can move in a plane. The plane is parallel to or coincides with the plane where the arc-shaped track is located. When the driving device passes through a vertical rail and an arc-shaped rail, the wheel bodies of the driving device can always keep running close to the rails, reliable driving and running of the driving device are guaranteed, and running flexibility and stability of an elevator are improved.
