A cam electric brake mechanism for an automobile brake comprises a cam nut assembly and a cam gear which are assembled together, a cam nut is arranged on the cam nut assembly, a gap is formed between the cam nut and the cam gear, and a plurality of balls are arranged in the gap. 2-4 first bosses which are uniformly distributed are arranged on the surface, facing the cam gear, of the cam nut, an inclined surface is arranged between every two adjacent first bosses, and the inclined directions of the multiple inclined surfaces in the annular direction are the same; according to the cam electric brake mechanism, the motor drives the motor shaft to rotate, the cam gear is driven to rotate, in the rotating process, the balls between the cam gear and the cam nut are driven to move on the inclined surface, and meanwhile the space for containing the balls is reduced till braking is achieved. The structure is rapid in response, the larger the rotation resistance force is, the better the braking effect is, and meanwhile, compared with a traditional air killing structure, the braking distance is reduced by 30%, and energy consumption is reduced by 80%.
