The invention discloses an electric propulsion ship power station control method based on a speed-adjustable diesel generator set, and the method comprises the steps: determining a power demand according to the operation conditions of a ship, the operation conditions including a navigation mode, a port entering and leaving control mode and a berthing mode; in the sailing mode and the port entering and leaving control mode, the power demand comprises the output power of a propulsion motor and the working power of other electric equipment of the ship; in the berthing mode, the propulsion motor stops running, and the power requirement comprises the working power of other electric equipment of the ship; the number and the rotating speed of the speed-adjustable diesel generating sets powered in a grid-connected mode are controlled through the power management system so that the power requirement can be met. According to the method, a speed-adjustable diesel generator is adopted as a power source to supply power to an electric propulsion motor, the rotating speed of the diesel generator is adjusted through a power management system, electric propulsion stepless speed regulation can be guaranteed, stable power supply and safe navigation of the ship can be guaranteed, and the purposes of the most economical fuel consumption and the lowest emission of the ship can be achieved.
