The invention discloses a steel rail straightness measuring method based on a self-adaptive gravity plane ruler, and the method comprises the following steps: building a world coordinate system XYZ, and determining the length and width of a to-be-measured part of a steel rail; determining the length and the width of a gravity plane ruler and dividing the gravity plane ruler into areas; and searching three fulcrums at the top of the steel rail, and calculating the straightness of the steel rail in a self-adaptive state. According to the steel rail straightness measuring method based on the self-adaptive gravity plane ruler, the straightness of the steel rail in an abnormal state can be accurately measured, and the measuring accuracy is high.
