The invention provides an aerodynamically deployable underbody rim. The aerodynamically deployable underbody rim is provided. An aerodynamic control system for a vehicle may include an underbody shroud disposed at an underside of the vehicle, a tire assembly, and an actuator. The rim assembly may include one or more deployable rims operably coupled to the underbody shroud and having a deployed state in which the one or more deployable rims extend away from the underbody shroud to increase drag of the vehicle and reduce lift of the vehicle. The rim assembly may also have a retracted state in which the one or more deployable rims extend not away from the underbody shroud. The actuator may be operated by a driver of the vehicle while driving to transition the tire assembly from the retracted state to the deployed state.
