The invention discloses an elastic supporting device for a ship cabin roof horizontal cable, the device comprises a supporting base, a suite module and a supporting roller, the suite module comprises a sleeve, a casing pipe, a sleeve rod and an elastic piece; the supporting base is connected with a cabin roof, the supporting base is located at the tail end of the horizontal guide frame, the supporting base is connected with the sleeve, the sleeve is connected with the sleeve rod through an elastic piece, the sleeve rod is connected with the supporting rolling wheel, and a cable is supported at the upper end of the supporting rolling wheel. The invention further relates to an elastic supporting method for the ship cabin roof horizontal cable. According to the device and the method, the elastic piece is arranged in the sleeve to adjust the height of the supporting roller, flexible adjustment of the cable during cable laying is improved, meanwhile, the elastic force of the elastic piece is used for counteracting the problem of deformation of the tail end of the horizontal cable guide frame caused by self-weight compression of the cable, and the service life of the cable is prolonged.
