    本发明提供一种金属/纤维复合材料薄壁结构及其制作方法和应用,包括:金属管和设置在金属管内壁上的复合材料层;复合材料层由纤维和树脂复合得到。本发明将纤维复合材料层设置在金属管内壁上,与纤维复合材料层位于金属管外侧的金属/纤维增强复合材料相比,纤维复合材料层位于金属管内侧的复合材料薄壁结构受到冲击载荷时,能够吸收更多的能量,并且材料利用率更高,在碰撞过程中,冲击力比较平稳,具有更好的耐撞性能。将本发明所述的结构用于汽车车身结构上时,不仅提高了结构的耐撞性和整车的安全性能,还实现了车身结构轻量化的目的。
