The invention provides a flexible marshalling train sorting calculation method and device, the flexible marshalling train comprises at least two coupled trains, and the method comprises the steps that under the condition that the position information of the at least two coupled trains is valid, a first sorting corresponding to the at least two coupled trains is determined based on the current operation information of the coupled trains; determining a second sequence corresponding to the at least two coupled trains based on the coupling state information corresponding to the at least two coupled trains; and under the condition that the first sequence is the same as the second sequence, determining that the target sequence of the at least two coupled trains is the second sequence. According to the sorting calculation method for the flexibly-grouped trains, the first sorting is determined based on the current operation information, the second sorting is determined based on the coupling state information, and the target sorting is determined based on the first sorting and the second sorting, so that errors caused by communication delay or other factors can be effectively avoided, and the accuracy of a sorting result is improved; and the method has relatively high universality and usability.
