A drive unit (11) of a leakage detection device (10) charges or discharges a Y capacitor (CY) by outputting a rectangular wave voltage to a current path between a power storage unit (20) and a load via a drive coupling capacitor (Cd1). The leakage detection unit (12) determines the presence or absence of leakage between the current path and the ground on the basis of a transition in which the voltage at the measurement point of the current path changes in accordance with the charging or discharging of the Y capacitor (CY) converges to the original voltage.
