The invention relates to a ship crane steel wire rope blocking device which comprises a fixing support, two springs and a floating type carrier roller, kidney-shaped groove holes are formed in the two sides of the fixing support respectively, and the floating type carrier roller is arranged in the fixing support and penetrates through the kidney-shaped groove holes in the two sides of the fixing support. One end of the spring is connected with the end part of the floating carrier roller, and the other end is connected with the top of the fixed bracket. The device has the advantages of being ingenious in design, simple in structure, not limited by the diameter of the steel wire rope, reliable in operation action and not affected by the current working angle of the crane boom.
