The invention relates to the technical field of sound insulation pads, in particular to a passenger compartment front wall sound insulation pad and a preparation method thereof. The passenger compartment front wall sound insulation pad sequentially comprises a sound absorption cotton felt, an aerogel composite felt and a sound insulation cotton felt from outside to inside. The aerogel composite felt is formed by compositing felt and an aerogel precursor according to the mass ratio of (40-80): (10-60). Through the multi-layer combination design, the sound insulation performance is remarkably improved, and light weight is achieved; the aerogel powder is doped into the aerogel composite felt, so that a porous net structure is formed, and the sound absorption and insulation performance is remarkably improved.
