The invention discloses a water surface garbage collection ship which comprises two sets of support shells which are of a cavity structure and are arranged in a bilateral symmetry mode. The garbage collecting structure is installed in the support shell and used for conveying and collecting garbage; the poking wheel structure is installed in the support shell, arranged on the front side of the garbage collecting structure and used for poking the garbage to the garbage collecting structure; the shifting wheel structure comprises a transmission shaft, limiting discs, shifting fan blades and a first driving assembly, the transmission shaft is rotationally installed in the support shell, the two limiting discs are symmetrically installed on the two sides of the transmission shaft in a sleeving mode, the shifting fan blades are installed between the limiting discs and fixed to the transmission shaft, and the transmission shaft is in driving connection with the first driving assembly. The device can be used for automatically cleaning garbage in water areas such as rivers or rivers and seas, and is simple, convenient and practical.
