The invention provides a work assistance server and a work assistance method. A work assistance server (10) assists work in such a manner that a plurality of work machines (40) to be operated can be selectively remotely operated in accordance with an operation performed on a remote operation device (20) having an image output device (221). A first assistance processing element (121) of a work assistance server (10) recognizes the position of each work machine (40), and a second assistance processing element (122) displays, on an image output device (221), an image in which the positions of a first work machine (40a) and a second work machine (40b) are captured at the same time when an operation target of a remote operation device (20) is switched from the first work machine (40a) to the second work machine (40b).
