Described is a thrust-reversing aircraft (1, 1 ', 1' ') comprising: a fuselage (2) having a first longitudinal axis (A) and a head (12) and a tail (13); the wings (3) are respectively arranged on two opposite sides of the fuselage (2) and are used for carrying corresponding rotors (5); a pair of engines (4) operatively connected to respective rotors (5); at least one first lift surface (19, 16) provided on the tail (13); and a pair of canards (14) disposed on the head (12) of the fuselage (2) and defining a respective second lift surface adapted to produce a third lift/negative lift value; each rotor (5) comprising a main shaft (9) rotatable relative to the fuselage (2) about a second axis (B) and about an associated third axis (E) transverse to the second axis (B), so as to place the thrust-reversing aircraft (1, 1 ', 1' ') between the helicopter configuration and the aircraft configuration; in use, each second axis (B) is transverse to the first axis (A) of the thrust-reversing aircraft (1, 1 ', 1' ') in the helicopter configuration and parallel to the first axis (A) in the aircraft configuration.
