The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for determining damage to an aircraft. A computer-implemented method includes: (i) receiving first data from a first sensor, the first data including a value of a first parameter of an aircraft; (ii) using the value of the first data to determine if the aircraft has been damaged; (iii) receiving second data from the second sensor, the second data comprising a value of a second parameter of the aircraft; (iv) determining whether the aircraft has been damaged using the value of the second data; and (v) controlling the output of a signal comprising data indicative of the occurrence of damage to the aircraft using the occurrence of damage determined at step (ii) and/or the occurrence of damage determined at step (iv).
