The embodiment of the invention provides a motor vehicle auxiliary steering method and device, a brake-by-wire controller and a motor vehicle. The method comprises the steps that it is judged that a motor vehicle steering system is in a fault state; obtaining a steering wheel rotation direction and a rotation angle; determining front and rear wheels on the steering side of the motor vehicle according to the rotation direction of the steering wheel; and applying braking force to the front and rear wheels on the steering side according to the rotation angle. After the steering system of the motor vehicle is judged to be in the fault state, the braking force is applied to the front and rear wheels on the steering side of the motor vehicle according to the obtained rotation direction and rotation angle of the steering wheel, the auxiliary steering process is completed, and the problems that in the prior art, after the steering-by-wire system fails, the steering requirement of the motor vehicle cannot be guaranteed, and the steering efficiency is poor are solved. Therefore, the operation of the steering function and the safety of the driver in the fault state are guaranteed.

    本发明实施例提供一种机动车辅助转向方法、装置、线控制动控制器及机动车,该方法包括:判定机动车转向系统为故障状态;获得方向盘转动方向及转动角度;根据所述方向盘转动方向确定机动车的转向侧前后车轮;根据所述转动角度对所述转向侧前后车轮施加制动力。本发明通过在判定机动车转向系统为故障状态后,根据获得的方向盘转动方向和转动角度,对机动车转向侧的前后轮施加制动力,完成了辅助转向的过程,解决了现有技术中存在的在线控转向系统失效后,机动车的转向需求无法保证,进而威胁驾驶安全的问题,保障了故障状态下转向功能的运行和驾驶员的安全。
