The invention provides a running power system and a chain device for non-stop public transport. The running power system of the non-stop public transport comprises a chain part, a chain guide part and a chain driving part, the chain part is a chain device which is connected end to end and is parallel to a public transport running track, and meshing teeth which are in transmission meshing with a driving gear of the chain driving part are arranged on the same side of a chain link connecting plate on the chain part. According to the technical scheme, the technical problems that safe vehicle distances need to be kept for a long time among vehicles in the operation interval of a public transport system, shift interval changes are avoided, and even rear-end collision accidents are caused are solved, and the technical advantages of being easy to manage, low in facility maintenance cost and the like are achieved.
