A method and device for detecting a drivable area of a vehicle, the method comprising: acquiring a binocular image in a driving direction of the vehicle, the binocular image comprising a left eye image and a right eye image; according to the travelable region boundary in the left eye image and the travelable region boundary in the right eye image, obtaining parallax information of the travelable region boundary in the binocular image; and obtaining a vehicle driving area in the binocular image based on the parallax information. According to the technical scheme, under the condition that the detection precision is guaranteed, the calculated amount can be reduced to a great extent, and the road condition detection efficiency of the automatic driving vehicle is improved.

    一种车辆可行驶区域的检测方法以及检测装置,检测方法包括:获取车辆行驶方向的双目图像,双目图像包括左目图像与右目图像;根据左目图像中的可行驶区域边界与右目图像中的可行驶区域边界,得到双目图像中可行驶区域边界的视差信息;基于视差信息,得到双目图像中的车辆可行驶区域。以上技术方案能够在保证检测精度的情况下,很大程度上减少计算量,提高自动驾驶车辆对道路情况的检测效率。
