An aircraft wing section assembly comprising a structural spine portion, a movement mechanism, and an actuation mechanism, the movement mechanism comprising: a support rod extending through the structural spine portion; a first lever pivotally mounted to the support rod, the first lever for connecting to and moving the first movable control surface; a similar second lever for connecting to and moving the second movable control surface; and a connection mechanism for connecting the first lever and the second lever such that the pivotal movement of the first lever causes the pivotal movement of the second lever, an actuation mechanism for actuating the pivotal movement of the first lever such that, in use, the second lever also moves in a pivotable manner when the actuation mechanism actuates the pivotal movement of the first lever, thus, movement of both the first movable control surface and the second movable control surface is caused. An aircraft wing assembly, an aircraft, and a method of operating an aircraft are also disclosed.
