The speed reducer comprises a motor and a speed reducer. The motor has a motor body, a rotating shaft, a first bearing and a second bearing. The speed reducer includes a wave generator, a flexible member, and an annular member. The wave generator has different outer diameters depending on the position in the circumferential direction. The flexible member has a flexible cylindrical portion into which the wave generator comes into contact from the inside in the radial direction. The cylindrical portion contacts the annular member from the inside in the radial direction. The flexible member rotates relative to the annular member in accordance with the rotation of the wave generator. The wave generator is connected to the rotating shaft at a position different from a position to which the rotor to which the motor is connected. The first bearing is disposed on the opposite side of the wave generator with respect to the rotor, and rotatably supports the rotating shaft. The second bearing is disposed on the radial inner side of the cylindrical portion of the flexible member and rotatably supports the rotating shaft.
