The invention relates to the technical field of engineering machinery gravity center adjustment, in particular to a gravity center adjusting device and engineering machinery. The gravity center adjusting device comprises a balance weight mechanism, a support, a translation supporting mechanism and a telescopic driving mechanism, the two ends of the support are in pivot joint with the engineering machine and the balance weight mechanism respectively, and the translation supporting mechanism is constructed to assist the support in supporting the balance weight mechanism to move. The telescopic driving mechanism is configured to drive the counterweight mechanism to move relative to the engineering machinery in a telescopic motion mode. During use, the telescopic movement of the telescopic driving mechanism can drive the counterweight mechanism to be close to or away from the engineering machinery at any time. The translation support mechanism can provide effective auxiliary support when the counterweight mechanism moves, so that the counterweight mechanism can move more stably. A telescopic beam type structure is not needed to drive the counterweight mechanism to be close to or away from the engineering machinery, and various defects caused by the fact that a telescopic beam is adopted to control the counterweight to move are avoided.
