A structure for assisting in opening and closing a lower door includes a lower door having an upper end portion configured to be rotationally opened with respect to a bottom surface of a vehicle body, and a rotating unit configured to be fixed to the bottom surface of the vehicle body and configured to rotate in opposite directions to each other to assist in opening and closing of the lower door. The present invention can assist a driving force of a lower door when the lower door is opened and can also minimize injury to passengers and damage to a vehicle when a side collision occurs with the lower door in a closed state.
