A shock-absorbing assembly (50) for connection with a vehicle, the shock-absorbing assembly comprising: a wheel assembly (60) comprising a first connection point and a second connection point; a first damping element comprising: a first housing portion (64) provided with a first hole (54); and a first rod (58) slidably connected in the first hole (54) such that the length of the first damping element can be varied, the first rod (58) being connected to a first connection point of the wheel assembly (60); and a second damping element comprising: a second housing portion (66) provided with a second hole (56); and a second lever (62) slidably connected in the second bore (56) such that the length of the second damping element can be varied, the second lever (62) being connected with a second connection point of the wheel assembly (60), where the damping assembly (50) is for maintaining the relative position of the first housing portion (64) and the second housing portion (66), and the second lever (62) being slidably connected in the second bore (56) such that the length of the second damping element can be varied. The longitudinal axis of the first bore (54) has a substantially constant spatial relationship with respect to the longitudinal axis of the second bore (56).
