The invention relates to the technical field of storage batteries, and provides a method and a device for monitoring power shortage of a storage battery of a vehicle. The method comprises the steps that the state of a storage battery, the whole vehicle power supply state of the vehicle, the engine state of the vehicle, the power generation state of the vehicle and the mileage of the vehicle are detected; and based on the state of the vehicle, according to one or more of the storage battery state, the whole vehicle power supply state of the vehicle, the engine state of the vehicle, the power generation state of the vehicle and the mileage of the vehicle, determining the reason for the power shortage of the storage battery. The method can accurately judge the power shortage reason of the storage battery, and reduces manpower and material resources.
