A satellite apparatus, a satellite assembly, and a method of deploying a satellite from a launch vehicle are disclosed, the satellite apparatus including a housing having a first wall and a second wall opposite each other, and a support structure spanning the first wall and the second wall within the housing. The support structure is structurally connected to the housing only at the first wall and the second wall, and an end portion of the support structure is configured to be connected to the launch vehicle by a disconnect system.
