The invention provides a method for controlling a windscreen wiper of an automobile and the automobile. The method comprises the following steps that rainfall information corresponding to the automobile is collected; collecting a sensitivity signal of a user for controlling the windscreen wiper; determining the wiping frequency of the windscreen wiper according to the rainfall information and the sensitivity signal; and controlling the windscreen wiper to work according to the determined wiping frequency of the windscreen wiper. When the method is adopted, rainfall information of the position where the vehicle is located and sensitivity signals of a user for controlling the windscreen wiper are collected so as to determine the wiping frequency or wiping time of the windscreen wiper; and the windscreen wiper is controlled to work according to the determined wiping frequency or wiping time of the windscreen wiper, so that the use scene of a user is enriched, the electronic windscreen wiper is more matched with rainfall change, and the user experience effect is greatly improved.
