The invention relates to a charging station with climate control. The present disclosure provides a charging station assembly capable of generating and delivering a conditioned airflow while charging a battery of a vehicle. The temperature and flow rate of the regulated gas flow may be controlled based on ambient conditions and battery status. The conditioned airflow may be directed toward an external heat exchanger of the vehicle refrigeration system to enhance capability. The regulated airflow may also be directed to the battery pack to be cooled or heated directly by an additional ventilation system. In hot environmental conditions, the charging station provides cold air to facilitate battery cooling. In cold environmental conditions, the charging station provides hot air to facilitate battery heating. The charging station assembly transfers load from a vehicle refrigeration system to a charging system, thereby improving battery thermal management capability while eliminating the need for an oversized refrigeration system.
