The self-rescue mechanism comprises a self-rescue frame, a rack belt and clamping mechanisms, wherein the rack belt is located between the lift car and the self-rescue frame and is vertically arranged, the clamping mechanisms are installed on the self-rescue frame and located on the two sides of the rack belt, and the self-rescue frame stably falls through intermittent contact between the clamping mechanisms and the rack belt. A protection mechanism located below the self-rescue mechanism is installed at the bottom of the rail frame and used for buffering the falling speed of the self-rescue mechanism. A fence mechanism is arranged on the periphery of the self-rescue mechanism. According to the elevator fault self-rescue device, through the arrangement of the protection mechanism, the self-rescue mechanism and the fence mechanism, the defects of an alarm and a climbing ladder in the using process are overcome, and the purpose of rapid self-rescue is achieved.
