The damping device comprises a base frame, a mounting seat, a damping assembly and a lifting supporting assembly, the base frame is internally provided with a vibration reduction space for accommodating the mounting seat; a mounting cavity for mounting the cold atom absolute gravimeter is formed in the mounting seat; the damping assembly comprises a pull-up elastic piece and a pull-down elastic piece, the pull-up elastic piece is elastically connected with the upper end of the mounting base and the upper end of the base frame, the pull-down elastic piece is elastically connected with the lower end of the mounting base and the lower end of the base frame, and the pull-up elastic piece and the pull-down elastic piece are configured to enable the first-order inherent frequency of the mounting base to be lower than 5 Hz; the lifting supporting assembly is installed in the base frame and located below the installation base, the lifting supporting assembly is provided with a lifting supporting part, and the upper end of the supporting part can be rigidly connected with or separated from the lower end of the installation base. The technical problems that in the prior art, a vehicle-mounted cold atom absolute gravimeter is poor in low-frequency vibration isolation effect, and a vibration isolation environment cannot be rapidly converted into a rigid fixed connection environment are solved.
