The received and/or determined data is evaluated and, on the basis of the evaluated data, measures for thermal management of the electrochemical energy store are introduced by means of the control unit before, during or after the vehicle has stopped, thermal energy is directly or indirectly extracted from the electrochemical energy store or supplied to the electrochemical energy store via a battery cooling circuit and/or a main cooling circuit of the vehicle by means of a measure for thermal management of the electrochemical energy store.
