The invention discloses a water hyacinth monitoring method and device based on an unmanned aerial vehicle, the unmanned aerial vehicle and a medium. The method comprises the following steps: collecting multispectral data of a water area to be monitored through a multispectral camera arranged on an unmanned aerial vehicle; based on the multispectral data and a set range, determining an area where the water hyacinth is located in the water area to be monitored; and analyzing the multispectral data in the area where the water hyacinth is located to monitor the water hyacinth. According to the method, the multispectral data in the area where the water hyacinth is located is analyzed, the water hyacinth and other organisms can be better distinguished, and therefore effective monitoring of the water hyacinth can be achieved.
