The invention belongs to the technical field of building machinery, and particularly relates to a rotary assembly and a tower crane. The rotary assembly comprises a rotary supporting bearing, an upper support and a lower support. The slewing bearing comprises a slewing raceway. The upper support is connected to the upper portion of the slewing bearing in a pivoted mode and comprises an upper support surrounding barrel. The lower support is connected to the lower portion of the slewing bearing and comprises a lower support surrounding barrel. Wherein the rotary raceway, the upper support surrounding barrel and the lower support surrounding barrel are coaxially arranged and are equal in radius. By means of the arrangement, the upper support surrounding barrel, the lower support surrounding barrel and the rotary raceway are located on the circumferential wall of the same cylinder, so that loads generated by an upper part connected to a rotary assembly are well supported, eccentric torque is prevented from being generated, abnormal sound in the rotary process is reduced, and the service life of the rotary supporting bearing is prolonged.
