The invention discloses a construction early warning method and equipment, relates to the technical field of traffic management, and aims to improve the flexibility of construction early warning and improve the use effect of detection equipment. The method comprises the steps of determining a target detection area based on a first lane in an image; wherein the first lane is a part of the lane where the construction area is located, and the target detection area at least comprises the first lane; determining an overlapping region of the target detection region and the radar detection region; acquiring radar detection information in the overlapping region; wherein the radar detection information is information, detected by a radar, of a target detection object appearing in the overlapping area; when it is judged that the target detection object is located in a risk area based on the radar detection information, an early warning signal is output, and the risk area is located in the overlapping area.
