The invention relates to the technical field of escalator and moving sidewalk monitoring systems, and particularly discloses an escalator network connection safety operation monitoring system which comprises an escalator function detection subsystem used for detecting the state of an escalator function system so as to record running and braking data of an escalator in real time; the self-monitoring subsystem is used for regularly carrying out no-load descending deceleration detection on the escalator so as to determine the no-load descending acceleration value state of the escalator; the braking subsystem is used for controlling the braking function of a working brake and an additional brake of the escalator; a power supply module; the control module is used for storing and comparing data detected by the escalator function detection subsystem and the self-monitoring subsystem and judging whether the braking subsystem is triggered or not; according to the escalator network connection safety operation monitoring system, accidents such as personal safety accidents and equipment damage can be prevented or eliminated, and meanwhile the workload of elevator maintenance personnel, supervision personnel and third-party inspection personnel is greatly reduced.
