The invention belongs to the technical field of constructional engineering, and discloses an internal climbing type tower crane supporting device and a climbing method.The internal climbing type tower crane supporting device comprises supports, a supporting frame, a climbing guide rail, a jacking cross beam and a first driving part, and the supports are arranged in at least three layers in the vertical direction and fixed to a building main body structure; the number of the supporting frames is at least two, the supporting frames are fixed to the supports on the different layers respectively, and the tower crane body is fixed to the supporting frames. The climbing guide rails are arranged corresponding to the four supports on each layer and fixed to the supports, a plurality of bearing holes are formed in the climbing guide rails at intervals, and the two ends of the supporting frame and the two ends of the jacking cross beam are connected to the bearing holes respectively. The first driving piece is configured to drive relative movement between the supporting frame and the jacking cross beam. The internal climbing type tower crane climbs under the condition that the climbing supporting beam is free of overturning, the balance of the tower crane does not need to be adjusted during climbing, the climbing method is simple and easy to implement, the safety risk in the climbing process of the tower crane is reduced, and the climbing period of the tower crane is shortened.
