The invention relates to the field of vehicle driving control of pure electric vehicles, in particular to a slow-speed driving method of a pure electric vehicle, which can keep the vehicle running at a certain speed on roads with different slopes. According to the method, the vehicle can automatically run at a slow speed on a downhill road and stably stop or run at a slow speed on an uphill road, and the vehicle can also be kept running at a specific speed. The method is controlled by a vehicle control unit, and the vehicle control unit is connected with a retarding running switch, a gear sensor, a brake anti-lock state sensor, a gradient signal sensor, a driving motor and a brake pedal state sensor through CAN (controller area network) lines and is connected with an accelerator pedal through a hard line. By judging the driving direction of the vehicle, different energy recovery and reverse dragging torques are determined according to different gradients. According to the method, the cruising ability of the vehicle can be improved, the burden of a braking system is relieved, and the vehicle driving convenience is improved.
