The invention also relates to a method for determining an avoidance path (T1) of a motor vehicle (1), comprising: acquiring data relating to an obstacle (15) located in the surroundings of the motor vehicle by means of a detection system, determining a final position (Pf) to be reached as a function of the position of the obstacle and an initial position (P0) of the motor vehicle, a theoretical collision position (Pi) between the initial position and the final position is calculated, and an avoidance path is formed such that the motor vehicle passes through the initial position and the final position and avoids the theoretical collision position around the exterior.
