The invention relates to an overhead man-riding device hanging seat timing passing protection device, which comprises a blocking actuator which acts to mechanically lock the passing of the hanging seat of a next passenger and is in a blocking state; a sensor which comprises a proximity sensor which is suitable for detecting passing of the hanging seat so as to generate a starting signal; and a control circuit which is respectively connected with the proximity sensor and the blocking executor, and is suitable for controlling the blocking executor to start when receiving the starting signal and stopping the blocking executor when receiving the stopping signal. The device has the advantages that the structure is simple, components such as a sensor, a time relay, an intermediate relay and a pneumatic turnout control box are used, an actuator (an air cylinder) acts reliably, a hanging seat is locked to pass for 15 s, and therefore continuous running of the overhead man-riding device is achieved, and continuous operation of the overhead man-riding device during operation is ensured. Besides, safety risk caused by the fact that people urgently get on and off the seat for riding can be effectively avoided.
