The invention discloses an adjustable rotary locking mechanism which comprises an unlocking assembly and a gear shifting positioning assembly which are matched with each other, the unlocking assembly is located on one side of a first connecting piece, the gear shifting positioning assembly is located on one side of a second connecting piece, and the unlocking assembly and the gear shifting positioning assembly are assembled together through a connecting supporting plate, and the connecting supporting plate is mounted on the second connecting piece. The locking mechanism is firm in positioning, compact and reasonable in structure, convenient and fast to operate and suitable for a matching structure which is small in connecting piece thickness and needs unidirectional spacing adjustment, and independent arrangement of the unlocking button is achieved; when the mechanism is applied to an automobile seat, the thickness of the headrest can be controlled within 40 mm, front-back adjustment of the headrest is achieved, the development concept of integration, lightness and thinness of the second connecting piece and the headrest is met, and the locking mechanism is wide in market application prospect.
