The invention discloses a method which is implemented in an electrical system (1). The electrical system (1) comprises at least one electrical power source (10) and at least one electrical component (121 to 123) electrically connected through an electrical switch (11), and the method comprises the following steps: a) measuring first and second electrical voltages (Ub; Uc1 to Uc3) present between terminals of the electrical power source and the electrical component; b) computing a voltage difference between the first and second electrical voltages; c) comparing the voltage difference to a predetermined voltage threshold; d) diagnosing a faulty electrical connection between the electrical power source and the electrical component as a function of the result of the comparison; e) controlling (CDC) an opening of the electrical switch and/or the transmission of a warning signal in the event that a faulty electrical connection is diagnosed.
