The invention relates to a gear shifting control mechanism and a vehicle. The gear shifting control mechanism comprises a gear shifting rod, a base, a swing support and an action sensing part, wherein the gear shifting rod is rotatably arranged on the base in the X direction and the Y direction of the vehicle; the action sensing part is used for sensing the gear shifting direction of the gear shifting rod and is fixed to the swing support; the swing support is rotatably arranged on the base in the X direction and the Y direction of the vehicle; and the gear shifting rod is in transmission connection with the swing support so as to drive the swing support to rotate relative to the base. Due to the fact that the gear shifting intention of a user in each gear shifting direction can be sensed only by arranging one swing support and one action sensing part, the number of parts can be effectively reduced, the overall structure is more simplified, the installation space of the gear shifting control mechanism is reduced, and miniaturization design of the gear shifting control mechanism can be achieved easily.
