The invention relates to the technical field related to automobile manufacturing, and in particular, relates to an intelligent hydraulic brake system and method, wherein the system comprises a tire information detection module, a weather information acquisition module, a machine vision module, a central control processor and an intelligent hydraulic control brake module. The tire information detection module, the weather information acquisition module and the machine vision module are respectively connected with the central control processor, and the central control processor is further connected with the intelligent hydraulic control brake module. The system can collect driving weather conditions, road surface and road conditions, tire pressure, tire heat and other related signals through sensors; and after the central control processor processes and analyzes the signals, a hydraulic valve can self-adaptively select the optimal opening degree in the state that a driver gives a braking instruction so as to control the acting force of braking, an automobile can be safely and stably braked and stop moving, and the three requirements of active and passive safety, intelligent control and oil saving can be met at the same time.
