The device comprises a device body; take-up devices are installed on the top face of the device body; wire storage boxes are arranged at the tops of the take-up devices; a measuring wire and a reinforcing wire are arranged in the take-up devices; a surveying head is installed at the top ends of the measuring line and the reinforcing line; a support is installed at the front end of the device body; a pay-off device is installed in the middle of the support; a driving system is arranged at the bottom of the device body; power-assisted wheels are installed on the two sides of the driving system; crawler belts are arranged on the outer sides of the power-assisted wheels; and an exhaust pipe is arranged at the tail of the driving system. According to the underground water level observation device for hydrogeological exploration, the surveying head can be effectively prevented from being accidentally left in a drilling well through cooperative use of the measuring line and the reinforcing line, the situation that wires are aged due to exposure in the external environment for a long time can be prevented through the take-up devices and the wire storage boxes, and the driving capacity of the device in muddy depressions can be improved through the crawler belts.
